Our Mission:
The Recovery Coalition of the Ozarks exists to continually improve access to quality prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services and programs for southwest Missourians.
Our Purpose:
- To promote empirically supported high standards and best practices in the fields of substance abuse prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery;
- To cooperate in efforts to strengthen systems of care that are designed to produce better outcomes for substance dependent Missourians;
- To advocate that Missourians support polices and resource requests to reduce abuse of and dependency on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs;
- To promote the understanding among Missourians that substance abuse and dependency are public health problems requiring the active involvement of government leaders, law enforcement, medical professionals, clinical professionals, educational institutions, faith-based groups and community organizations to improve prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery.
